Recognition Round-Up: New York CUs receive NCUA grants

gold cup winnerMore than a dozen low-income credit unions in New York were awarded with NCUA grants to help improve digital services and security, increase outreach to underserved communities and train employees. In total, NCUA provided $2 million to the 203 low-income credit union grant recipients.

The New York grant recipients include:

  • Advantage FCU;
  • Alternatives FCU
  • Cadets FCU;
  • Finger Lakes FCU;
  • Local 804 FCU;
  • ServU FCU;
  • South-Towns Community FCU;
  • Syracuse Cooperative FCU;
  • Ukrainian FCU;
  • Buffalo Metropolitan FCU;
  • Consumers FCU;
  • New Covenant Dominion FCU;
  • Southern Chautauqua FCU;
  • Brooklyn Cooperative FCU; and
  • NYU FCU.

NCUA awarded 141 grants totaling $1,251,670 in the digital services and security category; 40 grants totaling $350,760 in the leadership development category; and 22 grants totaling $397,570 in the underserved outreach category.
