National Consumer Protection Week kicks off Monday

indexMarch 4 marks the beginning of National Consumer Protection Week, which encourages consumers to learn how to protect themselves from fraud and scams. NCUA is part of a group of federal and state regulators, the U.S. Department of Justice, state attorneys general and consumer advocacy organizations supporting the event.

During National Consumer Protection Week, credit unions are encouraged to share NCUA’s online consumer resources to educate their members about protecting their identities and finances.

Those tools can be found on the agency’s consumer-facing site, mycreditunion.gov.
